Child ADHD Assessments

An ADHD assessment uses standardized measures to evaluate a child’s verbal and nonverbal thinking and reasoning abilities, memory skills, visual-motor coordination, academic skills, and attention and executive functioning skills. Behavioural and social-emotional functioning may also be examined in the context of a child’s stage of development and in comparison to others his/her age.

The assessment involves parent, teacher and/or child interviews, observations, one-on-one testing, and questionnaires/rating scales.
